Stuffed brussels sprouts sabzi

I am big fan of stuffed sabzi and so do I cook them flavorful except this one, stuffed brussels sprouts until my mom started cooking it when she came to USA to help with my delivery and since then I learned this recipe with her way and now I am enjoying this sabzi same way like rest of the stuffed sabzi. Do give it a try as this baby vegetables are high in nutritions and they taste dam tasty when you stuffed it.


  • Brussel sprout – 8-10
  • Oil – 2 tbs
  • Asafetida – 1/4 tsp
  • Water – 1-2 tbs(optional)


  • Dry stuffing:

          Crushed garlic – 2 cloves

          Crushed peanuts – 2 tbs

          Coconut powder – 2 tsp

          Chickpea flour – 1 tsp

          Red chili powder – 1 tsp

          Coriander cumin powder – 1 tsp

          Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp

          Garam masala – 1/4 tsp

          Salt – As per the taste

          Oil – 1 tsp for masala


  1. Take out dirty /dry leaves from Brussels sprouts and give 2 slits to it on top to fill stuffing inside it.
  2. Mix all the ingredients mentioned in dry stuffing heading and stuff it into Brussels spouts.
  3. Now heat up oil and add asafetida to it.
  4. Add Brussels sprouts to it and let it cook for 4-5 minutes. Turn them in between.
  5. Now add little bit of water to it and again cook for 7 minutes or until its nicely cook.
  6. Serve this hot with chapati or paratha.
