Biryani masala

Biryani masala is a blend of whole spices lightly roasted and powdered. The faint aroma of fresh roasted and grinded masalas are key ingredients for perfect biryani. This masala is perfect for any type of biryani.

Ingredients

  • Coriander seeds – 3TSP
  • Cumin seeds – 2TSP
  • Dry red chilies – 5
  • Star anise (badiya) – 1
  • Cardamom – 4
  • Cloves – 12
  • Kasturi methi – 1TBS
  • Cinnamon stick – 1 long
  • Bay leaves – 3
  • Red chili powder – 2 TSP
  • Coriander powder – 1TSP
  • Chat masala – 2 TSP
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ TSP

Method

  • Roast all whole spices in pan on low flame until its start to leave aroma around 2minutes.
  • Off the stove and let it cools down completely.
  • Grind it in mixture with coarse texture.
  • Add all remaining spices to it and again grind it once.
  • After it all done, take it out in container.
